One of a kind cover papers adorn these fat little sketchbooks. The guts (112 pages) are Rives BFK, hand torn and sewn into a multi-signature binding. The covers are flexible but sturdy, and the decorative spines are paper-wrapped balsa.
Closures are wraps with ribbon, twine, and/or buttons. There’s room for pasting in ephemera or tipping in prints, photos, & drawings, and the paper’s heavy enough to take gesso and paint.
Cover papers are all one of a kind, layered and contain all of some of the following: tissues, vintage paper bits, thread, water-based dye, acrylic paint, and pigments. Some are layered on unbleached muslin, some not. Cover verso is a collage of vintage dictionary papers from the 1960s.
Each book is unique.
